There's a room filled with amazing original designs for Disneyland, such as this rendering of the interior of the Golden Horseshoe by Sam McKim:
As Sammy McKim, the famed Disney artist had over 60 credits as a child actor, including MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON (1939), LITTLE MEN (1940), and MEN OF BOYS TOWN (1941). He was named a Disney Legend in 1996 and passed on in 2004.
I love that the Golden Horseshoe was meant to look like the interior of the saloon in one of my favorite Doris Day movies, CALAMITY JANE (1953).

Bushman, incidentally, was the son of silent movie star Francis X. Bushman.
This exhibit is very much worth taking the time to visit.

Our host today at the Tiki Room was the legendary Maynard:
We hadn't seen Maynard in a couple of years. He is hilarious! For those who want to learn more about Maynard, there are all sorts of videos posted on YouTube.
This part of the Jungle Cruise always looks so inviting on a warm day!

Disneyland is fun to visit year round and is gorgeous at Christmas, but there's something extra-magical about Disneyland in the summer...
