Tickets for Disney's D23 Expo, to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center next August 19-21, 2011, have gone on sale today.
The prices strike me as very reasonable. D23 members who purchase by the end of this year can buy a 3-day pass for a total of $85. The same price for the general public is $106.
Last-minute prices next summer will top out at $115 for 3 days for D23 members and $136 for non-members.
One-day passes are also available for those who want to try out the Expo for a single day.
Last summer's Expo was an outstanding experience, and the per-day cost seems very reasonable given the number of presentations and things to do at the Expo. Since I'm a D23 member as of this year, I'm inclined to buy the three-day pass.
(The pricing is an interesting contrast with this year's TCM Festival, which had prohibitive pricing for many of us: $400 for four days for early ticket purchasers or $500 for those who bought tickets closer to the event, with no single-day passes available. Yes, Disney has deep corporate pockets, but...)
Before next year's D23 Expo comes along, there's Destination D to look forward to the last week of September. I'll be there!
