A few photos from a magical Commencement Day at the University of Southern California...USC knows how to throw a party!

6:30 a.m. and every chair has a Commencement program in place:

The speakers' platform in front of Doheny Memorial Library:

The "Conquest" fight song played at the end of the main ceremony:

Along with her election to Phi Beta Kappa, our daughter was one of 268 students, out of a few thousand, to be named a USC Renaissance Scholar because of her high GPA in very diverse fields of study. In addition to her History major, she completed minors in Geological Science (with an emphasis in Geohazards) and Cinema-Television.

After the main ceremony, "satellite ceremonies" are held all over campus by the many schools and departments, giving students individual name recognition.

The Shrine Auditorium across the street from campus, where our daughter received her diploma from the History Department:

Walking across the stage at the Shrine to accept her diploma:

After the ceremony we briefly attended a reception at the History Department:

After the reception we stood in the long line to take photos in front of Tommy Trojan:

And then a stop at the bookstore to pick up the essential item seen on thousands of Southern California cars:

And now, on to the job hunt! :)

Fight on!
