Fox Movie Channel in September

Many of the films highlighted for Fox Movie Channel in July and August will play again this month. There's a box on the upper right corner of the FMC schedule which can be used to search for titles of interest.

I did want to briefly highlight some films which I don't think have aired on the channel recently; I only list one air date, but Fox often shows films multiple times.

...On September 5th the channel is showing SONG OF THE ISLANDS (1942), starring Betty Grable and Victor Mature. This is wonderful escapism which distracted filmgoers during the early days of our involvement in WWII.

...September 18th musical fans may want to catch THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE (1956) with Gordon MacRae and Dan Dailey.

...SWEET ROSIE O'GRADY (1943), with Betty Grable and Robert Young, will air on September 21st.

As far as I know, none of the above films are available on DVD. SONG OF THE ISLANDS had a VHS release.
